Chelm is a small town built on chalk hills and surrounded by marshy lowlands quite close to the current border with Ukraina.
Ones up one time, in this city end in this region, 500 years lives together three nations and three religions; Polish catholic church, Ukrainians orthodox church and Jewish Synagogue. In the terrible time of the second world war are the Jews disappeared and Ukrainians must go away from this land.
