Plock Cathedral

Plock, now a thriving industrial, cultural and tourist centre was the capital of Poland for a short time during the Middle Ages. Historical buildings are situated on the hill, 50 m above the river Vistula. The 14th century castle now houses the Museum of Mazovia with an interesting exhibition of Secession art. The Cathedral dates back to the 12th century; its main door is an exact copy of the original 12th century one, the Royal Chapel contains the tombs of two Polish Kings.
