A region of Poland as small as it is delightfully picturesque. Pieniny lying on the Slovak border east of the Podhale region and north of the Tatras, the Pieniny mountains extend for some 22 miles in a narrow range rising to 1,000 feet. These old limestone mountains have weathered in many wonderful ways. Just east of the National Park is the spa resort town of Szczawnica.
