The palace of Lancut is a magnificent aristocratic residence. Originally this early Baroque palace sited within fortifications was raised for Cracow Voivode Stanislaw Lubomirski in the years 1629-1641. The residence also comprised a winter garden, stables, coach-house and a little romantic castle in the park. The palace shelters a number of valuable pieces of art including a statue of Henryk Potocki sculpted by Antoni Canova. The Lancut palace is famous for its rare collection of period coaches.
